Gut Friendly Yoghurt Bowl

This is my go to yoghurt bowl combination and is so filling, tasty & keeps my tummy happy. I like to have this for breakfast on days I am short on time, or I make smaller portions for snacks midweek.

Ingredients: (Serves 1)

  • 200g Fage 0% greek yoghurt (higher in protein than regular yoghurt)

  • handful (~25g) mixed nuts

  • 1/2 cup frozen blueberries

  • 1 tbsp mixed seeds

  • sprinkle of cinnamon

  • drizzle of maple syrup / honey

Tips:

  1. If you suffer with lactose intolerance or digestive issues with certain yoghurts, I found this particular one to be perfectly fine for me! As it’s highly strained, there is a reduction in lactose.

  2. Most greek yoghurt also contains live cultures, providing you with good bacteria for your gut!

  3. I like to find mixed nuts which contain brazil nuts as just 3 a day will have your selenium intake sorted!

  4. Seeds are a great source of omegas so I like to sprinkle them on breakfast, salads, toasts throughout the day!

  5. Always add some form of berries to your yoghurts to up the antioxidant count.
